There were no direct flights from Hyderabad to Indore, and so Marion had come up with a really tight flight itinerary where we would go to Bombay and take another flight after an hour and a half. But, as fate would would have it, or as our 'beloved' airline would have it, "Your flight to Bombay has been delayed by 2 and a half hours due to technical reasons. Thank you for flying with us!"
What this meant for us was that we would obviously miss our Indore flight as a result. Quick calls, madness in the duty supervisor's room, people shouting all around, and the strap of Ketan's bag snapping- it was 15 mins of total confusion. Thankfully, we had a plan B to shift to. Marion arranged for us to spend the night at the Bombay Google guest-house and we would take the next day early morning flight to Indore.
Oh, the Bombay Google guest-house! Now that's something worth mentioning: A luxurious Worli sea-facing apartment on the 12th Floor, a cook who made amazing chicken and oh, the view out to the sea! We also met Google India's only sales-engineer Amit here and had a nice chat over a fabulous dinner. Anyway, we slept early because we had to wake up at 4 to catch our flight.
